Who's your favorite character?

Once wano ended one piece has been phenomenal.
Egghead arcs plot has been fun and interesting with characters that have only gotten more enjoyable
Outside of Egghead plot was insane. Shanks and Blackbeard making their moves, the Reverie flashback, and expanding on the lore.



This has been one of the best years for OP in a while.

Saturn Awakening was the biggest surprise for me.

Saturn's entrance was the peak of 2023 as far as I can remember

Gorosei give off otherworldly presence

Law vs BB would have been more hype if it involved a plan to hatch Law's immortality surgery on him, in the end Law got off too esaily when the dude was defeated forgetting black vortex and blackhole exists to pull BEPO and a defeated Law back but at least he had poneglyphs.

Or you know use the rest of his crew as hostage to lure Law back in

Feat wise Shanks one shotting a guy worth 3 billion was a big surprise. I wasn't expecting Kid's crew to get obliterated lile that.

Kuma's flashback was welcome but it overstayed it's welcome - like usual one of the problems with One Piece where it drags shit out but when it comes to some other exciting stuff just get rushed/off screened. Luffy vs Kizaru was also a trash fight, cat and mouse game more like

Garp vs Blackbeard pirates was dope tho

Overall pretty good year

The gorosei entrance was pretty nutty but for me the biggest oh shit was the Nefertaris being Ds. It really brings back a lot of the cool parts of alabasta like “the kings miracle” where no matter the draught somehow Cobra could make it rain. And the random rain storm after Croc was defeated.

It was a small thing but it made the story feel well connected

I just didn't like that much of Holy Knights introduction but Garling was cool.

Chapter 1094 was best chapter of the year...

Overall I really enjoyed this One Piece year, there are some amazing chapters, my favourite parts are Garp sacrifice for the new generation, Saturn entrance in Egghead ( his awakening was shocking the first time I saw it), lore in Mary Geois chapters and Kuma’s characterization in this flashback. On the other hand at a certain point in Egghead I was really annoyed by the bad pace and the bad art of some panels ( Luffy vs Kizaru part specifically). Btw I give 8,5 at this One Piece manga year.

P.S. Worst part was when Oda skipped God Valley

( I know we’ll see God Valley in future but it was a total scam )

Spoiler: My Personal opinion

I didn't like what Oda did to Kidd, yes we all knew Kidd was going to lose but a negg diff one-shott? wtf. Law vs BB was okay cool but Bepo sulong>. I liked Reverie because maybe it's the first time that Wolrd Government is developed.Hashinosu was hype and made me respect Koby. Luffy vs Kizaru was disappointing, Zoro vs Lucci just didn't make any sense. Saturn was by far the biggest surprise in the manga this year, seriously I didn't expect Oda to go so far with the Gorosei. God Valley beginning was cool but showed little. Kuma flashback was good, I just think I would have liked this flashback more if Egghead wasn't as hyped as he is.
