Kyoshiro, Ashura, Kanjuro, Kiku, Gyukimaru, Tonoyasu, Hiyori, Kamazou, the old hag.. hell, even Kinemon and Momo acted like dad and son before Zou....

The only guy I recall not doing this is Urashima..

Because just MAYBE Yamato identifies himself as a man? Just maybe? Calling it poor writing when you are seeing literally 5-6 lines of spoilers is not the most sensible thing to do right now as well.
