No, they're all evil, they literally embody one of the seven deadly sins each. The scenes were to show that they are not all necessarily antagonistic to the protagonists.

Which doesn't apply to Echidna, because she's the one responsible for Roswaal doing what he did. I was under the assumption she was likely to be the head of one of the Mafia factions, which is obviously less likely now.

Don’t know if you’re going off of stuff past the anime. But I definitely don’t think Minerva at least is evil. She was wrath but her ability is punching things to heal them.

Whatever incident caused her to be called the Witch of Wrath was probably “the road to hell is paved in good intentions” type deal is the vibe I got.

But yeah for Echidna specifically I can see a better argument for her being “evil” but the flashback in the anime did put her in a better light than her present version with her clearly caring about Beatrice and Ryuzu. And trying to protect them from Hector.

Minerva is evil, just not antagonistic. The point is that they are all evil in their own way, that doesn't mean they're villains.

The issue I come to is I'm struggling to have two Mafia factions without echidna - I had Witch Cult and Roswaal as likely candidates for them, and I can't believe Echidna is aligned against Roswaal at all.
