Koby would legit one shot PH Smoker.

But it's not even totally about power levels, Koby has been Luffy's rival since the literal start of the series and we've only seen more and more of him.

  • Escorting princesses to Reverie post WCI
  • Talking to X Drake in Wano
  • Taking part in the attack on Amazon Lily, Post Wano
  • The entire Hachinosu plot line is centered around him playing the role of Ace.

The closest, absolute closest, Smoker has been to coming back is Tashigi making a background cameo and maybe getting a few lines of throwaway dialogue.

Oda has shown numerous times he's not afraid to use cover stories, databooks and movies as elements to the live story.

Lucci in his first fight Post TS was going one on one with Sabo which now makes sense based on his current portrayal in EH.

I'm just saying let's not be so closed minded because we have our own headcanon and pretend Oda wouldn't power creep then fuck out of a character to fit his story.
