But he's not the one to take on the World Government and he is tied to the One Piece race going on, him, Shanks and Luffy.

Even if he finds Ancient Weapons, Kaido + Big Mom's alliance wanted all three to take on the World Government.

So in order to be a larger threat than the World Government, they need all three ancient weapons and their crew needs to be > Beast Pirates + Big Mom Pirates.

While also staying out of whatever Laughtale arc there is, letting Luffy become PK first when he just jumped Law for his rubbings and is after the final poneglyph.

Everything we've seen from Teach right now points to him rushing for the One Piece himself. It would be very weird if Luffy became PK without any Teach intervention despite the time wasted on building Teach up as the front runner to be pirate king.

I actually think its possible, BB might grow to such a level of threat that he mirrors Rocks, and Luffy (Roger, PK) and Koby (Garp, Hero) will team up against him.

I do not see Oda letting other marines in to muddle the waters of a Laughtale, Strawhat v. Blackbeard fighting arc.

It's possible but IMO I can't envision it, he didn't do anything that far for Wano which was far less integral to the story.

He can literally freeze people in place simply by staring at them. It would have been ok if he actually tried to block them and they warped.
Nonetheless, the BB pirates looked like a competent crew for once, Kuzan is not the only useful member of that crew anymore
