No it wasn't Ukraine wasn't apart of Nato. Israel is a direct ally and far more important for the US to risk WW3. Ukraine also had no nukes.

Ukraine was becoming very close to the west and on the cusp of joining NATO and the country is part of Europe which is much more relevant and important to the great and super powers of the world than the Middle East is, there's a reason why both prior world wars started in Europe.

Neither Iran nor Israel are confirmed to have nukes either, Israel might, but they don't have any reason at all to use them because Iran is vastly weaker than they are and has zero chance of beating them in a conventional war, history has already shown that Israel is more than capable of taking care of itself, it has repeatedly beaten it's neighbors in wars even when they band together...
