Does that mean that Mihawk Haki is greater that Roger?? If so that means Mihawk >Roger (since Haki is an integrate part of swordsmanship and Mihawk is the strongest swordsman)
we don't know how black blades are made, but maybe it's some kind of bond with the sword. Something involving the path of the swordsman. Roger probably didn't care about any of that

Yeah which means it takes something other than just haki, even if Roger had top 1 haki in history, if he doesn't have whatever that other thing is he can't do it.

Top 1 haki in history is myth when WB and Garp matched him , He had to team up against Xebec.
Haki criteria keeps on growing.
The bar he set is around Kaidou level only.

No coping at all. I think it would be awesome if Mihawk was just stronger than him. I'm just trying to find a reason for the black blade if that's not the case
-You need two hands to blacken a sword.
-When Shanks was a kid he owned Yoru and made it black (he was 3)
-When he met Mihawk he gifted him the sword so he would have a challenge when fighting Mihawk (regular blade vs black blade)
-Then he gave his arm for Luffy, making it impossible for him to blacken another blade
I’m interested to see how Oda is going to write himself out of this black blade issue.
Haki alone can’t solve it since he’s already suggested that Roger conquered the sea with it but didn’t have a black blade.
At this point, the likeliest explanation is probably going to be something like “some esoteric skill that most just don’t care about and doesn’t make you stronger than those without anyway.”
Maybe Roger's Haki wasn't on that level to make it?? If oda goes that root i don't see a problem with that.. Roger was never stated to have the best Haki in the verse

As usual Mihawk/Zoro stans are all talk with no concrete proof to back up their claims of Mihawk being this great Haki master.
If anything it says the opposite about Mihawk's ability that he can't keep his blade from chipping without making it black. Clearly roger has never had that issue. It's too bad nobody has anything good to say about Mihawk's use of Haki.
