They're rivals and Zoro respects Sanji's power:cryabit:
They're crewmates and friends. They each know what the other's limit and expertise is, and act accordingly.
They're not rivals because they have no fucking goal in common. One wants to be the strongest swordsman, the other to find a mythical sea.
They both want to see Luffy become PK, but they are not competing to see who can take Luffy there. They must work together for that to happen.
They do bicker with one another, but that's not a rivalry. That's just friendly teasing.

What common goal do Roger and Garp compete for? Or Roger and Whitebeard? Or Garp and Chinjao?

Roger and Garp clash on something called justice. They are on opposing factions, and rival each other ideologically.
Roger and Whitebeard rivaled one another in the conquest of the seas (and in whatever ideological kitchen sink Rocks involved his crew up until God Valley).
Rinse and repeat for Garp and whatever other pirate he could go toe-to-toe with.

That isn't a goal they're competing for lmfao, you've now stretched the definition to suit your headcanon.

To conquer the sea is to be pirate king, something Whitebeard directly stated he wasn't interested in, try again.

Came back from hiding and went straight to my thread to post off topic, I told him nice fanfic written by "Kiri" the fan that won a trivia competition and he started coping and crying that none of this is canon because Zoro too stronk.
Who am I talking about? :myman:
Bro's terrified of tagging me:ihaha:

WB didn't want the OP, or the PK title.
But he still wanted to be a conqueror of the sea. That's why he was a Yonko.
He wanted a surrogate family and to be able to protect it from everything and everyone. He clashed with others for that reason, pirates and marines alike.

He didn't choose to be a Yonko, it's something you become known as, not something you submit an application for lmfao, Whitebeard never wanted any such thing, his only goal was to have a family.

Post a panel saying Whitebeard wanted to conquer the seas.

That’s not how rivalries work in Anime.
Naruto and Sasuke had very different goals but were still rivals.
Tai and Matt from Digimon another rival that had very different goals and even were part of the same team (nor did they ever fight) were constantly referred to as rivals
Guy and Kakashi as well

None of these rivals have the same goal but they’re still rivals all the same.

Foul Legacy

After recent reveal and reading all these discussion. I have come to the conclusion , it's pointless , no matter what zoro do , 90% of people will either way hate zoro.

Most above are only trying to trigger than zoro fanbase (they need a life lmao) and call them toxic later on due to behaviour.
