Oda is just top tier trash author

Instead of letting characters fight, he makes them run around circles like headless chickens or stay in one place and prepare to do some boring shit, thus the plot doesn't progress.

Any competent author would've:

• cut out Strawhats preparing to jump off the stupid cloud and just made them fight either marines or Gorosei
• cut out all this barrier garbage that means nothing
• cut out that 10 minute stupid pre-proadcast of Gorosei running around and instead do the proadcast while Gorosei are running around trying to stop it
• cut out reactions that don't tell us anything about the character or the plot.

Some people should take a break from OP for a few months. Not saying this as telling them to drop it, I understand that they feel like this arc is dragging with the reactions and all but this is mainly because they are following the manga weekly. Reading this arc(specially this last part) in 1 go and reading it weekly is very different.
