I think we need to start accepting that the mid/weak trio (besides Usopp) won’t unlock any Haki, as nonsensical as it sounds. You’d think that a Yonko crew that consists of only 10 people would at least have all of its members possess basic Haki, but oh well.

I think that the reason why Oda refuses to give them basic Haki is because he doesn’t know how to incorporate basic CoO into fights, and basic CoA is too boring and unoriginal since it’s really just a flat AP and durability amp. Oda would rather give them more unique power ups

No matter his reasoning, it still sucks.
Like come on, it's not hard to have them be versatile while also having good Haki. Kuma and Doffy have relatively nice Armament feats despite also having really versatile and op fruits. Law too.
Just give Franky visible Armament.
