At this point Kizaru isn't going to fight luffy in egghead. So he either does nothing or holds down a gorosei and then gets defeated or escapes.

Kizaru purposely stopped fighting as soon as he could. He was never meant to be the antagonist of this arc. And I'm not saying this to defend him. I believe that while he might have a small moment of redemption at the end of this arc, his role in the manga is more or less finished.

Getting back entails targetting bonney/kuma. He's not getting up until strawhats scape OR until the 5 gorosei are sent flown away. ONLY then we might see him get up and for certain it's not for a full blown fight no matter the case. Just accept it boyos... he aint showing anythig major for what's left...

Yes, but you can trust me that Oda has prepared something very, very great for the end of Egghead. If you look closely, you can see it by reading the last chapters again. Oda has build the arc around a plot strand, he has not revealed, yet and has dropped many hints throughout the story. This is, why Egghead felt for so many people so underwhelming - because Oda has not really picked up the main plot strand of this arc again. I don't mean the Bonney and Kuma one or the Nika one, but this has to do with Vegapunk again. This is also, why Oda has as of yet, not picked up so many loose ends of this arc and added this little time skip in between - we are not to see, what was happening then, for we could see something, we should not - because this would take the surprise that is to come.

This arc will change it's course very soon.

The first part that Oda has to reveal is Stussy - she will soon reveal her true nature. Watch also out for the barrier/dome.

nothing in Vegapunks message suggest Kizaru will suddenly switch sides. The guy was okay with cutting Bonney in half just 15 chapters ago.
It's more like if Akainu betrays the WG then Kizaru will join him.

Him knowing that it was the WG that destroyed Lulusia and will sink the world is a pretty good reason tbh.
