Well I like their military oriented culture, if I got to survive all that BS it would mean I'd be tough as F!
Not really, that is other myth. There was no such as especial spartan training. They weren't more military trained than other Greek states. The difference that every male spartan citizen was a soldier. They had strict laws regarding militarism too. Life in Sparta sucked for the most part.

I'd choose Athens and stop the creation of democracy in its infancy:endthis:

oh yeah Rome was the real deal. I though you talking about Sparta. My bad.

Sparta as a city and state was really small, Rome was massive compared to it, and Romans pretty much invented modern Hedonism.

Just the sheer scale of Rome makes Rome way more gay than Sparta ever was, hell Julius Caesar was bisexual
Ok, i will agree with that.

Adult Greek married men would have young men they would "mentor" (read: have sex with them) and such relationships were the norm at the time.
They weren't really normal? There's one guy who's really excited about it and later changes his mind about pedastry as an abomination. It became such a concern, parents would hire bodyguards to keep their kids safe. That type of relationship is well recorded as being looked down upon by the Ancient Greeks.

Hell, there's more than a few that wholesale categorized homosexual relationships as "mental illnesses" back then.

Might depend on the time period, however this professor calls it a normal occurence
