Chapter Discussion The Blackbeard Pirates are the best crew in the series and Teach is the best “Pirate” why do people hate him?

Teach really embodies a pirate. He doesn’t view his crew as his friends and will do anything to reach his goal.

Considering his background how could you not love him.

Teach us the definition of a taker:
1. He wanted to the darkness fruit, he killed his crewmate (Thatch) to get it.
2. He wanted the quake fruit, he killed his former captain (Whitebeard) to get it.
3. Captured as and traded him for a Warlord position.
4. Broke into ID level six and formed his crew.
5. Spanked Marco and the remnants of the WB pirates.
6. Recruited a former admiral to his crew.
7. Took pudding from the Big Mom pirates.
8. Captured Koby and his crew ended up losing him and getting Garp.
9. Spanked Law.

I love Blackbeards crew and think they are better than the Strawhats or any other crew. Blackbeard is easily one of my favorite characters.

Teach is somehow still underrated by a huge chunk of the fandom, be it for his strength or his character.

For me, the two most piratey pirate crews in the series are BB's and Shanks', for two different reasons - BB's seems like how a real pirate crew would behave (plan out stings and be overall very oportunistic) while Shanks' gives off a big Pirates of the Caribbean vibe

Shanks is a plot device
He hasn't made any real move. He just there at the right place at the right time for some reasons

Teach is actually a pirate making moves left and right

Hancock would have no-diffed everyone from the SHP's except maybe Luffy and Zoro. So idk, people underestimate Hancock sadly...
she was meant to be impressive with the portrayal against Teach.

The only one she isn’t no diff by feats is Luffy. Zoro is getting washed up.

idk tbh lol, it would be a very interesting and brutal fight if Zoro doesn't get stoned

I also would consider Sanji having the strength to defeat her, but he sadly has a natural weakness that Hancock would abuse lol

but yeah, I don't like it when people try to downplay the BBPs because of how they struggled against Hancock

Oh I’m completely thinking he gets stoned immediately. He’s definitely strong but based on what we know now he can’t get around her hax.

I don't hate him personally, but I can see why the average "casual" reader would do so:

1- he is fat and ugly (not a cool badass design)

2- he is mostly cowardish and runs away whenever things aren't in his favor

3- he caused Ace's and WB's death (overrated fan favorites)

4- his fights are always off screened

5- he keeps getting power/bounty increases behind the scenes when he barely does anything

6- his later post-TS plans rely on pure luck and coincidences (i.e Saturn appearing in Egghead, SHs dealing with Buster Call, etc)

7- he lives rent free in Shanks' head (another overrated fan favorite) and his fans fear the inevitable off screen he's getting from BB

and that's about it

Considering my the one piece art style he has one of the better designed. Being cowardice and opportunistic are different things. Saying he doesn’t do anything when I just listed a bunch of things that he’s done is crazy.
