Future Events Here comes Vivi...

There isn't a single doubt in my mind. Vivi will reunite with the straw hats in the next 10 to 15 chapters, but there's a twist!

Now that the crew has been split up, I believe Vivi will meet up with Robin's group which will enable them to get acquainted with her since none of them ever traveled alongside her. (It's no coincidence that Chopper is a part of Luffy's group when he isn't even an OG) We could get really interesting character dynamics between Vivi and the other strawhats, especially Robin. Oda has a unique opportunity to write some dramatic tension between Robin and Vivi and hopefully forge a very strong bond between the two as the arc progresses.

The arc hasn't even started and we already have boundless opportunities for a strawhats centric plot where they reforge their bonds with each other and reach their ultimate form as the crew of the future pirate king.

P.S: it also helps that Vivi already knows both Dorry and Brogy.

It makes too much sense. Why would Oda split the crew between those who traveled with Vivi and those who didnt?

I'm fucking hyped yo! She's one of my favorite characters.

But I still think this doesn't contradict the possibility of some tension between the two. I bet Vivi trusts Luffy's judgement but she still knows nothing about her beyond her role as crocodile's underling. She almost killed Igaram, kidnapped her dad, and had a pivotal role in almost destroying her country. There's a very good chance she'll have a hard time forgiving her, which represents a good opportunity to forge a bond between the two.

If they forge a very strong friendship it also gives rise to the possibility of making Nami jealous, which could be used for comedic effect.

The signs are there.

The fact that Chopper was included among the original five hints at some type of tomfoolery underneath the surface. There's literally no reason to separate the crew the way oda did. He's cooking up some Vivi stuff for us.

Honestly, since Oda has been actively ignoring the "new" Strawhats as much as he can in his writing, I kinda think once Vivi does link up with the crew, it will instead be the people she already knows, and all the "getting to know the new Strawhats" will happen of-panel during the final party at Elbaf.

Like, I can already picture it in the Manga. Vivi will shoot Robin a dirty look, next panel will be some Strawhat talking with her (and telling Vivi that Robin is cool now/her tragic backstory), the panel after that she will smile at her and thats that.

Why waste time on crew interaction when Oda can cram in a extra chapter or two of Nika exposition after all?
