He's very underestimated/misunderstood. Some loyal fans like me and Yasheen have wanked him for over a decade at least if not longer, decades even since Alabasta really. Oda's treatment of him with Impel Down, Marineford and especially recently ofc has been very catharthic, well worth the wait, an actual worthy payoff for the most part at least.











I can't find it now but he easily destroyed an Impel Door gigantic door by turning it to sand too.

Croc was always him, either the first or second Warlord ever. An enemy Oda had to take away the only thing he was fighting for in Alabasta to give Luffy a chance to win. Then bro pulls an MVP performance in Marineford War, gets called equal to Prime Rayleigh in OP Stampede, forms a yonko crew because Mihawk is willing to join him by Crocs name recognition alone, then has the WG panic and send 3 seraphim after him just because he resurfaced for the first time in years.

Crocodile was clearly one of odas favorite antagonists.

– Crocodile is revealed as the secret eight fighter, saying to Bullet that it’s been a long time, calling him “Gattai-yaro” (assembling bastard). According to volume expo, the two fought each other at a stalemate years ago for some reason

Also he has the GREATEST villain defeat moment I've ever seen, thanks to Toei too especially ofc! Still goes HARD to this very day!:




His VA is amazing too ofc, the way he says Spada (Espada MY GOAT) and his laugh and such is TOO DAMN GOOD!
