The only one who can beat me is me
Being pushed by animation
Jjk demon slayer
While it's true both series relied heavily on an elite production. Demon Slayer is in a tier of its own when it comes to being carried, this is disrespectful to JJK because Gege actually gave us memorable characters and a reason to stick around. It has this edge to it that made it stand out. Demon Slayer is as cookie cutter as it gets. There is zero substance in Demon Slayer. It's just colourful art, elite animation, and great sound design lol. Demon Slayer is purely a UFOtable product.

Well..there is this guy..sth bad happened to his family and he has to fight evil creatures

Maki is what confirmed to me that Gege isn't actually a good writer, let alone a great one. At that point I checked out and started reading JJK like it was just an ability showcase. Sukuna vs Gojo didn't disappoint, I have Maki to thank for that, she prepared us for the culling games having no real narrative.

Lol....bluds living in his own world, all of the engagement you see today comes from the anime's success. Mappa made Gege rich. If the anime was mid, this series is not even looked at. Over half this fanbase exists cause of this scene alone.
Cap

Rather than Fate Stay Night, watch Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works.

They follow different paths of the night novel, but Unlimited Blade Works is the better path and has much better animation (having come out years later).
Thanks mate. This is one of the reasons I have not started it yet. Whenever I type it on any anime site, various versions show up and I just could not decide where to start.

Maki confirmed to me Gege knows how to write tragic characters and pull strongly at the emotional aspect in just a few chapters, then keep them relevant while exploiting their character strengths. You have writers like Oda who spent tens of chapters building up characters like Robin, getting her own arc where she has to be rescued, then fucks off in post-TS becoming nothing but eye candy and fanservice for goons while playing little to no involvement in the plot regarding Poneglyphs and Void Century.

I read the manga and watched the anime recently again and manga definitely carries on its own. Gege’s art might have gotten messier as it went on but his choreography is unmatched. And the manga panel of gif you share goes doesn’t look any less better

He’s got too many peak spreads that anime simply had no choice but to imitate.

In fact anime made some epic scenes look stupid due to bad angles and cuts:

Anime even left out important narration that’s cool af like this which gives context to scenes, leaving fans to wonder wtf did Nobara just do in the anime:

Jujutsu Kaisen was already on a meteoric rise before anime aired, selling 200k+ copies per volume which is the mark of a Big 3 manga. So while anime helped it skyrocket to incredible levels, the manga was already great on its own too

it's really well written. But we all know what the author is into. I can't in good faith read or watch that shit.
Yeah it really is well written and it is also a very dark series.

The manga unfortunately does sometimes have some questionable stuff, and the release for the chapters are super slow.

The anime is way better and carries the series, and the anime usually doesn't show or at the very least censor the questionable scenes from the manga.

Aint nobody cares about mid x mid
You should stop reading mangas if you think HxH is mid.
I dont know how you percieve it, but the extra text feels like post-match discussion after getting eliminated early in a ranked match.

But the fun part? None of that matters. The ranked matches are intersting because how randomly things happen in them. At the end it depends on how you improvise and use what you have to your advantage.

HxH does that really well. The pay offs are great, unlike One Piece.

I'm pretty sure L57 never even read or watched Hunter x Hunter.:suresure:

As someone who has read and watched Made in Abyss, if someone was going to check out that series, they should go with the anime only.
I started with the manga, anime was released later.

I just skip the questionable parts, never thought about the art in any negative way. I am just interested in the exploration and how things are inside the abyss.

But yeah, manga industry need some regulations. Even if the mangaka says a character is 100 years old but their appearance is like a child, they should not be drawing them the way they are sometimes drawn in Made in Abyss.
