Yeah they can destroy that giant in less than a second

but it’s the usual playful tone of the crew with their shenanigans, not serious tone etc

I agree it’s less and less believable each arc when they are getting stronger and stronger but it’s Oda formula

let’s see the pay off

Seems like Oda is slowly returning to original root like earlier pre-timeskip, Luffy being absolute carefree and goofy. This and previous chapter feels like something only happens in the anime opening like 8 and the massive turtle one.

The Sun God has resemblance of Sogeking and the skypiea cover page. Sogeking wore Sun shape mask and the giant slingshot similar to the one wield by Sun God. Skypiea cover page has Usopp as statue, the skull is alternative to Sun God's Helmet, and the shield has a label 'God' on it.

That fake Sun God could be a man base on the eye design. He wore the moose skull which can resemble devil Baphomet, Baphomet can be a man and woman. Base on the high heels, he can also be a woman. All these led to another connection of Imu.

Luffy and the others are "stupid" and reckless, without them doing these things there will be no sudden change of plans or route they are taking. This is One Piece, it should be fun and not to be taking too seriously (altough some themes of the story are still pretty serious). Asking about why that character is "stupid" and act like that is useless because that "stupid" action move forward the story in different ways.

Thinking that the SHs should stop and fight the skull giant because they are stronger it's ok but is it really good to stay another chapter or half chapter inside this lego land? Oda probably think it's better to get away from this (still maybe next chapter we are still there, I don't know). It's Oda's choice and I am pretty ok with it.

I think a lot of people here are really too much into power levels and such things that they forget everything else. The fun of reading a story. I'm not talking to you specifically btw.

Oda plays too much with the power dynamics.
Even hlaf of a Yonko crew is still powerful. Especially when it consists of the core members, of which 2 are commanders, for lack of a better term.
Hell, a casual CoC blast should have sent the message across.
