Game Style -
  • Traditional Setup - This game will prominently feature an uninformed majority against an informed minority.
  • Closed Setup - No information about the setup of this game will be revealed in the game thread until the game has ended.
  • Plurality Lynch - The player with most of the votes at the end of the Day phase will get lynched.
  • Day start - This game will begin with a Day phase.
  • Phase length - The game is divided into cycles with each cycle consisting of 2 phases, a day phase, and a night phase. The first day phase will be 72 hours long to give everyone time to post, with the option to hammer. The next day phases will be 48 hours until the playerbase gets to half and then it will be 24 hours. Night phases will be 20-24 hours.
  • Claiming - Claiming is Allowed.
  • Roleblocks / Attacks - Players will not be alerted if they are roleblocked or attacked unless specific actions require responses, I.E. investigations.
  • Post requirements - A minimum of 5 posts per day is asked, if the requirement is not met the player will be modblocked the following night, a one way ticker to Azkaban may be in order if the player keeps missing the requirements.
  • This game may contain bastard-ish elements you have been advised.

Message:

In order to stand against Voldemort and his forces, the residents of Hogwarts will have to find and destroy his horcruxes. These fragments of his soul have been scattered around Hogwarts.

In order to achieve this, each cycle players will be able to explore the grounds of Hogwarts. Hogwarts itself is a massive castle, and covering its entirety will require organization, teamwork, and cooperation. Upon visiting a location of a horcrux, the thread will be informed of it and it will be destroyed. Horcruxes found by Voldemort's forces will shift to an explored location. Any player who dies during the night while in search will not find anything in that location.

A location can be submitted at any time during a cycle, but players will only visit their selected location at the end of that night.

New locations will be unlocked every other cycle, although the majority of the castle will be explorable starting Day 1.

With 30 players the majority for hammer is 16

Only today will have the option for a majority lynch, however if the 72 hours run their course then it will be plurality. The next day phases as stated in the first post will be 48 hours until half the players are alive and then it will be 24 hours for the day phases.
