I also was hyped for Katakuri in WCI then Oda kinda just said “Nevermind” then gave king and queen way bigger bounties and had both use BM as a hype tool while next we see Kata he’s using awakening to fight the Germa siblings alongside help… then losing cause Caesar Clown.

I regret praising/hyping up him so much before. Toei made him look much better too. But even then its shallow.
Even his backstory was pure mid and we never even saw his homeland, other Lunarians, the destruction of his people and homeland. Oda could have really gone in a tragic direction with him and yet he didn't He even became the basis for the Seraphims and they were huge for all of a few minutes ultimately and irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. Oda didn't even bother to do anything with the 3 remaining Seraphims so far ffs.
King Nothing is truly the most fitting name.
It truly went downhill when he fought Zoro. Erza vs the meteor and Irene type writing.

Massive shame we never got to see the Tobi Roppo actually fight and replace a Calamity. Kaido should have had 4 like Big Mom but given how Oda wasted Smoothie and Snack was utterly pointless except to hype up the Supernova offscreen during the timeskip and maybe Judge too offscreen....yeah.....Neverending Nonsense Story from Oda...

I'm still fucking mad that Franky fought Sasaki and nothing came up about Kokoro too. Franky has the Shogun form, there was that carpenter he met in Wano who had a twin who appeared earlier in the series, or well in a SBS at least, it felt like this was a gonna be a Franky arc, with Franky saying he was gonna build anti Kaido weapons in Zou somehow and with the Shogun form and his real name being Cutty, it felt like Franky might have importance and history in Wano somehow but ALAS!
