Oh, I know about his estimations being laughable, sure. I've been very vocal about it on this forum, too.

However, there is no denying that Egghead really was planned and written as start of the final saga.

Knowing this, the current (massive) slowing of the pacing just makes little sense, no matter how long we estimate the finale to go on.

I feel you and for Oda we may be in the final arc, but Erbaf would still be a massive semi-autonomous saga (while in the rest of the world things happen).

I don't expect Erbaf to be less than 60 chapters at the earliest.

I wouldn't even have a problem with Elbaph being this long.

However, it should have a tight pacing and tie into the finale throughout.

What does Oda do?

He just spent 7 chapters - almost three months in real time - on some random lego sideplot that was executed very poorly on top of it (countless drawing and consistency errors) and his standard "crew divides and explores" yada-yada.

Awww seeing Bonney so happy and excited for a change is really nice, so refreshing and wholesome. Elbaf is so insanely beautiful and I love the scenery, design of it in many ways, it's as grand as I hoped. I really like the character designs so far except Road especially that ugly horny face he just made too. Loki's design is peak too.

This makes me nostalgic from when I used to read Asterix and Obelix, a series I really loved too.
