If Sera somehow flips town, Alexis is fine, but if Sera flips scum, this all looks a lot like scum backing up scum while trying to appear distant.

How do you reconcile there not being any cc to his cop claim and me being a miller?

If you come across as town then you will attract someone trying to protect you like what apparently happened with Stargate.
