First of all, you're getting worked up over absolutely nothing.
From my PoV a shared lynchpin makes no logical sense, because first of all no one character can belong to both magic and science; so there is no obvious indication as to such a lynchpin existing.
Furthermore, it does also not make any sense for a singular flip to determine the fate of two entire separate town factions - ending the game in an instant.
I have no reason to believe that Ratchet went through all the trouble to make all these mechanics and roles just for a possibility that the entire game is over D1 because we chose the wrong target.
It is nonsensical.
IF, and I mean IF, such a pin does in fact exist, there is bound to be more conditions to be met for a literal game ending event to take place.
There is absolutely no logical sense in a game ending threat to be imminent before the game has even fucking started.
Your hysteria is so unneccesary, you just want me to nod and smile and take everything you say at face value, sorry it's not gonna happen. If something is unclear, doesn't make sense or I disagree with - I will in fact act accordingly, whether you like it or not.
