I have really high expectation, 2 new studios are working right now.

KAGURABACHI ANIME: Details about the production finally revealed? In an article on the Toyo Keizai website, it was revealed that the anime adaptation of Kagurabachi has found a home with CyberAgent and Shochiku. The anime will be produced by Cygames Pictures, an anime studio under CyberAgent. Cygames Pictures doesn’t have an extensive portfolio, but here are two animation projects by them that I found interesting: - Blade Runner: Blackout 2022, with Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop/Samurai Champloo) as director: https://youtube.com/watch?v=XrUzGjf5UME… - Uma Musume Pretty Derby: https://youtube.com/watch?v=glU0ESYKp4U… As for Shochiku, it is one of the four members of the Motion Picture Producers Association of Japan (MPPAJ) and the oldest among Japan’s "Big Four" film studios. They are listed as producers for anime titles such as Full Metal Alchemist, Violet Evergarden, Noragami, Sengoku Basara, and more. The responsibility of animating Kagurabachi is immense, and I believe both companies are well aware of this, which may have led to the uniting of their strengths. The details of how CyberAgent and Shochiku came to collaborate remain unknown, but the two companies have complementary strengths in a positive way. In the article, the reason for choosing these studios was explained as follows: "If there was an additional intention, it would be to decentralize the studios. If one studio is entrusted with multiple works, there is a high risk that the production line will collapse (due to the workload, etc.). Rather than having a studio that is already working on major works such as MAPPA of Jujutsu Kaisen, WIT STUDIO of SPY×FAMILY, or CloverWorks of Nigejozu no Wakakunin, the thought of trying out a different studio that looked good may have come into play." So, it means that none of the studios that the bachibros were expecting are the ones in charge, instead, we got 2 companies joining forces to focus all their efforts bringing Kagurabachi to anime. What do you think?

this is the quality of their products:

"You think Shanks is evil? I'll show you... I'll show you his actual, evil twin! Who... wasn't actually pictured there, in the meeting with the Gorosei. No. That's still Shanks. Shanks was snitching to the Elders. But he has an evil twin! Isn't that something, huh?"
-- Senile Oda, probably.
I think ideally they're just not that different, and something other than retarded switcheroo/mistaken identity plots will happen here. Probably a good chance Shanks is still involved in morally gray things and has contact with the Gorosei despite being a pirate and living a double life as an emperor, while Shamrock is the head of the Holy Knights but may also be a little gray, and not pure evil like his father.

Maybe Shamrock isn't an evil twin and just a twin.

i think the only way i would really like this twin plot is if Shanks and Shamrock knew about each other and had a relationship established offscreen during the years while Shanks was a solo pirate. They could have done some kind of Prince and the Pauper thing and changed out places to give Shamrock a taste of the outside world and Shanks an insight into what the Celestial Dragons are like.

Blackbeard scarring Shanks would make this impossible and drive the two apart. Could actually go somewhere interesting.

Just "Evil Shanks" would be kind of boring.

This is going to be a really good rendition of Secret Wars when it hits that these people are just running disguises.

Yeah, I admit saying the guy on the island was Shanks was completely retarded on my part and I was almost as humiliated as Shanks dad is every second of his life as enemies storm into his country knowing he won´t do a single thing and the Gorosei don´t even like him lmfao. But I stillll think Shanks is a bit off. Probably not a full on villain, but for example, why did he move against Blackbeard so early?

The God’s Knights simply choose a target among their enemies that most closely resembles them, and then they commit to being in disguise.

You mean the guy who saw Blackbeard literally over there and didn’t make a move towards him?
