With G2/G3/G4 he’s a very strong inbetweener (Yamato, Law, Zoro, etc) but without G5 he isn’t beating any top tiers

The problem with Luffy's powers is that they don't make any sense. Why would a zoan awakening last only 5 minutes? Can mythical zoan in their awakened form alter things outside their body or is this just a stupid unexplainable outlier?
