Doesnt scream trickster to me
@Owl Ki
A trickster can still possess a sense of pride.
Moriah for example fights consistently underhandedly and will use trickery to one up opponents (e.g. leading Luffy to get lost in the woods instead of fighting him). He is still however a prideful individual that refuses to accept help from others (e.g. telling Kuma to sod off when he offered assistance), says a pirate should not be afraid of fighting to the death and he refuses to submit to others (e.g. Kaido and Blackbeard).
There can be three things at work here regarding that specific scene:
I) Loki is fundamentally too prideful to ever submit to anybody.
II) Loki has personal beef with the Holy Knights/World Government due to whatever reason. This causes him to reject them on principle alone.
III) Loki might have some knowledge of Imu that makes him reluctant to even attempt to pull a fast one.
Maybe all Imu needs is a verbal agreement to use his powers to enslave your soul and instantly immolate an annoyance like he did to Saturn? Who knows. Maybe it is the unknown factor of how Imu can even do it to begin with that makes Loki reject anything to do with with Imu and his subordinates.
