Yeah, in the last couple years, the souless allegations are pretty damming
I do think Elbaf does actually look really nice though

Also, the gag with the kids not actually being warriors and Luffy and Usopp being genuinely disappointed is hilarious to me and feels like it was probably made up in 2002 or some shit

Every once and a while we just get fucking Nika nonsense though

I think Elbaf been pretty decent so far, this chapter seems kinda boring though

Great observation. IMO, the giant shadows of the Skypiean warriors caused from their silhouettes being formed from the sunlight hitting them in the sky is foreshadowing for the "Shadow Giant" Oars in Thriller Bark.

"No one knows what happens in the sea of mysteries, the Florian Triangle. Each year over a hundred ships sail into the mist and never come out. The Ship Thriller Bark first dropped anchors in these waters 10 years ago, but mysteries abounded long before that.

The thick white mist was also abundant on this day, cloaking those mysterious waters like a veil. Meanwhile, the happy-go-lucky ship that had left that mysterious sea... sailed right on course... toward an underwater paradise."

This is A REALLY sneaky little bit of Giant lore Oda put in at the end of Thriller Bark. Oda LOVES mocking villains in this series by dangling the fruit they want in front of them, at times without them even knowing it's there. Crocodile wanted Pluton, and it's in KAIDO'S TERRITORY, WANO. Bro couldn't take over Alabasta and wanted to fight Kaido, hilarious. Enel wanted God, and literally fought him without realizing it. Akainu wanted to kill Ace/Whitebeard to bring peace, instead, his Fleet Admiral tenure is so bad it's getting to be Rocks level days. Caesar wanted to make people into Giants, Luffy literally can become one in Gear 5.

Moria wanted to make an army with Oars as the centerpiece, when his island was surrounded by Ancient Oni.

The disappearing ships are a result of surviving Ancient Oni hiding in an area with weather too tumultuous for the WG/Marines to control the area.

These Ancient Oni will be a big player in the Final War Whitebeard spoke of, since they are capable of traveling rough waters, and are probably Oars level.

Honestly, knowing Oda, Oars is probably FROM the Florian Triangle, originally, and was born there to the Ancient Oni Lola saw when she was leaving Thriller Bark.

Thriller Bark, that's like Perospero and Wanda in bed, whoooooooooooooooooooo

Anyway, there's a small tribe of Ancient Oni living in the Florian Triangle. Probably where Oars Jr. came from, too, BTW: Whitebeard has most likely met the Ancient Oni in the Florian Triangle.
