I am not really sure why Oda is just sending Gaban in like that, he should whoop the floor with them. The Holy Knights seems not like a big threat considering the man power we got on Elbaph - Gunko getting the best of the Colon SH‘s isn’t really an indicator, because they simply got caught off guard by her DF ability. Not the first time happening.
So why sending Gaban in?
Now the possibility that most people mentioned, is that the HK are gonna use Colon to trick/black mail him or whatever - also Summers thorn DF seems to get stronger the more love the parent has for their child, but at the same time, i don’t see a DF getting the best of Gaban. He is just too OP and experienced for that to happen.
But you never know with Oda.

And what happens when the immortality weakness is revealed? It's clearly going to be something common now that the HK have it, the Gorosei fear the Yonko individually for a reason, let alone if the Yonko teamed up.

Without immortality the Gorosei still have awakened mythic zoans and top tier haki. And there’s zero evidence suggesting that their immortality will be outright negated, as opposed to the SHs simply becoming strong enough to counter it.

Shanks is friends with A LOT of people. If the WG pushed him, he could decimate a lot of their forces. Like, Shanks ARRANGED Whitebeard's funeral. Shanks could gather Rayleigh + Scopper from Roger's crew + others, Giant Pirates, his own crew, and plenty of other individuals if needed. The WG does not want to fuck with Shanks.

lol reading these last few pages, people remember there’s three of them against a Yonko crew. There’s no world where they want to complicate their mission by fighting a group with more manpower.

People forget that luffy could toss these people off the island since they teleport there.
