Immortality likely won’t have a one and done counter.

I say this because there are seemingly different levels of immortality. Whereas the HKs still age, as evident by Garling, the Gorosei seemingly haven’t aged in decades.

Imu himself will likely have a stronger tier of immortality than even the Gorosei.

Gorosei immortality is Law's Fruit.

Regen is Imu/Abyss powers.

Gorosei are at least 200 years old, probably from Void Century, IMO.

Gonna be interesting to see the Gorosei haze Garling, those guys knew Saturn's musky ass for CENTURIES. You can tell when Garling walked in they don't respect him at their level.

Personally, I still don't really get why the WG would want to flood the entire world, given that they are still in power over a lot of it, but I'll give the plotline a chance given that they control most of it, but I'll give it a chance since global floods are kind of an interesting concept and is in a lot of mythology, in bad news, my Phone wont charge anymore, so I have to go to the gym without listening to music

They live on the Red Line, and can travel the world with the Abyss to non-sunk nations to find food: this "Great Cleansing" let's the Celestial Dragons who rule the world rebuild it in their image after they flood it.

IMO, it's all about control: the WG clearly controlled the world to a greater extent before Roger started the Great Age of Pirates.

Now? They're losing that control. The Shichibukai and Vegapunk are the biggest indicators of this.

Wipe the slate clean with floods, then rebuild it.

Why are the Celestial Dragons worshipped as Gods? Because Imu flooded the world, and rebuilt it with the Celestial Dragons as its Gods.

I don't think Oda is doing this for a small reason; I think he is more or less stating our ancient history IRL was rewritten by those who maintained the advanced technology from the people who built the Pyramids, and used it to rebuild the world post Younger Dryas. So... who in the modern era considers themselves to be "Gods" amongst the "common man"?

What did the WEF, World Economic Forum, title it? "The Great Reset?"

Gaban showing off next chapter should be great. Either he gets his son back, or it's hostage piece. Either way, him overcoming the regeneration would be amazing hype.

Gunko's done very well so far. We'll see if Jimbei can manage something against her down the line. Nice Gunko/Brook interaction, makes clear she's still a Celestial Dragon at the end of the day.

Hopefully Dorry and Broggy get a chance to clash with the Holy Knights rather than just facing hordes of monsters.

Alright chapter, but what follows will be much more exciting. It'll be interesting to how far the Holy Knights are pushed before Luffy and co. arrive. I'm sure Gaban will do great until his son is threatened, but I hope he surpasses my expectations and that we can get some great fights out of these enemies.

I was kinda hoping Sommers and Killingham overwhelm them so we see how the two duos stack up. It is weird that all we've gotten is them looking good and no real difficulties in battle.

Dorry and Brogy are garbage characters lol. They’ve been laughing like hyenas nonstop since they returned to the story, and they totally killed the tension in Egghead. It’s dumb af how the Giant Pirates could blow through a Marine fleet of 100 battleships and not suffer a single injury (even the fodders took 0 damage).

There been so many fights in series that when the gimmick get remove that people can still be really hard fights.
I don't understand why people think the HK will be differnt .
That all of sudden all of them will turn super weak that don't happen in OP.
The point is be get pass the gimmick to get to the real fight.

If HKs still put up a tough fight once their weakness is exposed then they're not really gimmick fighters

Sommers is afraid of fighting a Yonko… meaning he’s not a top tier… meaning Gunko isn’t a top tier… the elders are all top tiers

Luffy and Zoro can get captured by immortal top tiers

I still hate cheap regen powers on HK.
I mean, I wasn't too hyped about Gorosei regen hax either, but at least there's only 5 of them and their lives are fully controlled by Imu and his powers.

With the whole HK + Gorosei + Imu having the regen cheat, it just feels underwhelming and overused as an ability.

Hope it can get crushed by awakened CoC or something.

They are under control of some DF, the SH are basically fine.
Defeat is what happened to King and Queen.
