I think it's more in the cases of EXTREMELY spicy food, like those extreme heat instant noodles that are a huge craze online and in Korea and such. Also Carolina Reaper, Ghost Pepper, Naga Viper etc type chillies? Consuming far too much of those, far too often type thing?

I've heard far too much chilli can wreck your stomach lining and sometimes I wonder if I have wrecked mine in the past with my major addiction to chillies a long time ago. They can definitely cause ulcers too.

Hmm....

Only 25 years old too, that's so fucked up and sad. She really suffered immensely for a long time before dying too, fuck.

:robinsweat::perocry::emohiyo:
Oh, yeah that's horrible. RIP.

I do occasionally eat the fire noodles that people eat online. Not mukbang style though, just one here and there.

Very reliable
Don't eat spicy food if it's causing you indigestion
Avoid spicy food if you want to live longer :BigW:
:josad: It's over for me. Although I don't really get indigestion from eating spicy foods. Unless it's really, really spicy then the bathroom trip sucks.

Not true mate. Capsaicin, the chemical compound responsible for the spicy effect has quite positive effects to health. Studies have demonstrated that people who eat spicy food on a regular basis statistically tend to live longer, have less stress and better heart health. They showed that they may tend to have higher risk for esophagus cancer but they also showed that people who eat spicy food are less likely to experience death by cancer. But that's just random statistics with uncontrolled subjects, basically.

I guess the best approach would be to create 100 genetically identical lab rats and feed half of them spicy stuff all day and the others not. Certainly you'd see the direct effects within one or two generations. But rats aren't nearly as cracked as humans to eat that spicy stuff on a regular basis. So I guess one half wouldn't be compliant.

Moderacy is probably the key. But have you ever experienced a Pepper High? It's. Fucking. Amazing.

:risisweat:
The thing is that everything in moderation is good, but when you've certain inflammatory condition or prone to get sick, Spicy food act as catalyst, as I've stated, spicy food alone can never good Gastritis, even if it does, it's temporary and gets well soon, the same way NSAID can cause ulcer if abused.
Even fruits have such antioxidants which prevent cancer, but excess consumption of fructose can have adverse effect on Liver and insulin level for the one who are already compromised, and there's enough of animal cruelty, the lifestyle we are living, doctor can use us humans as case study material

I was eating restaurant food 2 times a week. Had severe stomach ache and constipation issues from eating them. The moment I stopped I never had any stomach issue or any time type of constipation since then. It sucks but its much healthier :BigW:
Thats a great point! I have way more stomach issues when I eat outside food, it's not a coincidence it almost always goes away when we start preparing food at home, ideally with fresh and I guess organic food ofc? Directly from farm ideally regardless?

If you watch those restaurant rescue type shows like Gordon Ramsey does, you will see stuff that will surely put you off eating out for life too, absolutely horrifying, sickening stuff.

I studied food health and safety once before I learned to cook for others for a voluntary job and the stuff I learned about how improperly prepared, stored and cooked food can cause was absolutely terrifying too, even some vegetables apparently can cause paralysis potentially! If improperly prepared/cooked I mean and such.

I do occasionally eat the fire noodles that people eat online. Not mukbang style though, just one here and there.
Yeah those are the ones! I would never try those, I was already almost dying from just medium level spice food as I'm so extremely senstive to spicy food now!

:josad: It's over for me. Although I don't really get indigestion from eating spicy foods. Unless it's really, really spicy then the bathroom trip sucks.
I can imagine its even worse if you need to use the Godhawks toilet too? LMAO:

:milaugh::milaugh::milaugh:

Ooooh, interesting thank you! A WorstGen-ius here! Yeah, I've heard of some extremely healthy people getting cancer or some other life threatening illness or whatever out of the blue, there's never a 100% guarantee to prevent anything like that no matter what we do and how we live our lives ofc.

That's really useful info, good to know. You really made it easy to understand too, thanks! That CoC haki analogy too haha, nice one.

:holdw::BigW::fujilaugh::Woro:goyea::hohoho:

I'm terrified as my dad has stage 4 prostate cancer supposedly, both my grandparents on my mums side of the family have a history of cancer throughout their families and my grandma had it, 2 of my uncles did too and god knows who else at this point. I've seen it take the life of one of my favourite teachers a long time ago and almost the life of the brother of one of my friends too, it's so fucked up.

:josad::pepecry:
I'm really sorry to hear about that, I hope the modern medication can ease the pain.
Cancer is indeed a deadly and a disease which drains out everything, but you can always get gene tested, I am not sure which place are you from, but you can always consult your doctor and discuss about it, get yearly tested, and do all possible things to ensure a happy and life without stress
Fear not, without advancement of current medication and technology, we are taking each step ahead to certainly something where it won't be as scary in the future as it is right now

Sanji fans will have a hard week

As a type 1 diabetic a certainly agree :saden:

I also agree regarding animal cruelty. It's not that I like to think of that. But preclinical testing is bound by Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and hard coded into law in most modern countries. EU, USA, Canada, Japan and others at least. Terrible happenings such as the contergan/thalidomide scandal led to this. It sounds terrible to do testing on animals but the 30s and 40s in Germany (and Japan/China) showed us, there's worse. We're fucked. The world's fucked :risitears:

Tysm man I really appreciate that. Yeah, you are right, things are slowly getting better in that regard and one day eventually, cancer will no longer be such a threat ofc.

I'll keep that in mind thank you, some food for thought as the saying goes lol. I'm trying to take better care of my health lately, mentally, physically, emotionally as I know mental and emotional health affects our physical health and vice versa too and my body is PUNISHING me lately for neglecting it for so many years and letting it fall apart so badly too. So yeah, now is the time to fight back and try to fix myself so to speak too.

In the worst case scenario, if I ever end up in a situation where the fatal countdown starts, where things are pretty much terminal for me, I'm gonna try and do as much good as I can before I go too, I want to try to go with my head held high as possible, no matter how I've lived my life and all the things I've done and mistakes I've made and such etc.

I will try to get myself checked out as often as possible though, I did visit the doctor's very recently for possible inner ear damage and my "routine chest infection" but thankfully it was nothing major in regards to my ear and its recovering too. I need to take care of myself better for my family's sake especially my grandmother and her sacrifices and never giving up to the end too, never slowing down until she had no choice at all.

Even my teacher didn't stop until the end, we were his final class and we didn't know he was dying from cancer until after we graduated that year and found out he passed away mere months after we graduated. It was so heartbreaking. Idk what spurred me at the time, but he was our Chemistry teacher and he LOVED his lab coats so I bought a lab coat online, got everyone one of his current students from my class and my friends class and also his former students in my year who knew him and got them all to sign him a thank you message on the coat for him and I handed it to him personally and the guy was beaming with so much happiness, pride and showing it off to other classes and teachers lol. No matter what I've done in life, 2 things I will always take pride in how much I stood by my grandmother until she died in front of me and also what I unknowingly did for one of my favourite teachers in his final months of his life, without even knowing he was dying I mean.

Sorry I'm getting a bit existential and morbid here lol, having one of those days/moments I guess. It will be the 2nd anniversary of my grandmothers death in a few weeks which doesnt help.
