Not sure where you found any homophobic remark I believe we were discussing Vance Boelther being anti-abortion/LGBT which I would like receipts for because he is probably a moderate, most especially if Walz had appointed him
You do have a point. Perhaps the issue isn't the protest but rather the movement behind the protest.
The anti Trump movement is kind of a paper tiger. Like yes, these people can show up in big numbers. But they don’t have a solid agenda outside of disliking Trump.
MLK had a dream. The women’s March folk just didn’t like Trump.

The point of peaceful protest in a democracy is to win popular support. Irrc the women’s march was done very early into trumps first term so no wonder it did not do much to sway the average voter. There wasn’t much to protest.
On the other hand recent protest are directly opposing trumps fascist actions. There’s proof that the republicans right now are not in a favorable position for the midterms
Peaceful protests are utterly pointless in creating any meaningful change. They are merely a way for people to vent their political anger and pretend as if they are doing anything. Prime example:
The 2017 women’s March was the largest single day protest in US history at the time. But these people literally did jack shit. Roe v Wade was overturned and Trump even got re-elected several years later.
Violent protests do create change. But it’s really a coin toss as to whether you will create the change you want vs whether it will blow up in your face. The George Floyd riots did result in the cops being convicted of murder. It forced the prosecutors to take the case seriously in a way they might not have otherwise done.
Likewise with the anti-ICE stuff, it seems Trump is just using this as cause to double down on authoritarian policy. Sending in the military to help keep the peace. I’m not exactly sure the anti-ICE protesters will get the results they want. They might instead end up getting arrested/killed with deportations happening as normal.

Never made any homophobic ones tho in fact I never even commented on lgbt myself besides noting Trump and his supporters are tepid and not radical on lgbt. Which is objectively true
Civil disobedience is peaceful but today they’re considered « eco-terorrists » and have always been called out. Also Gandhi had millions of people marching with him.
The guy in my quote is a racist. Of course your reaction is against « both sides ». Very rational.

Shocked probably because I usually don’t make comments provocative in this way. Calling you a pig was probably misunderstood and for the record the post means « go fuck yourself incel »
It's alright I would be too if I was trying to shut bigot down but it backfired because I said something far more graphic and fucked up and went too far
