I don’t remember the word “stronger” being used… Luffy’s goal the entire udon training arc was the haki bypass… Luffy did in fact get stronger because he went beyond Barrier haki into infusion haki but see even that is a bit more complicated
infusion is DEFINITELY A POWER BOOST not because it literally increases the power of your haki, but because Ignoring durability is a fucking BUSTED ability… Like technically it’s possible that Luffy’s actual haki power stayed the same but the fact that his haki power was now purely ignoring durability means the same haki power does way more damage with this ability
anyway, as far as we can tell, Barrier haki is just barrier haki… It’s a barrier… it’s advanced armament that just makes a long range tangible shield or whatever

Having Imu turn Sanji, and he unlocking CoC to counter it isn't a bad deal.
But i would rather he unlocks it against BBP.

Unlocking CoC as the climax of the evil Sanji plotline works the best imo.

You can cry, cope, and make excuses all you want.
The fact doesn't change that your boy Kaido, only has the same level of Adv CoC as Luffy.
Not only is he losing to the Elders but he would even lose to the HK.
And you can downplay the Admirals all you want, but unlike Laido, we have to yet to see the Admirals in a full serious fight, so the possibility of them having the next level Adv CoC is still there.

Also Coby and Sabo don’t got CoC
Law most definitely doesn’t have CoC and that’s my point, law has a ridiculous ability that Oda can just add on whichever power Law needs so that law can manage to stop a Holy knight just as well as an AdvCoC user
that’s what I was saying about Bartolommeo’s barriers and any other trapping ability Oda can think of… As long as you can keep these guys down, you don’t need AdvCoC
Saying you need ACoC+ just to defeat HK is kinda dumb considering in Egghead we legit saw with Mars that you can send a motherfucker flying if you got enough strength for it.
I think the bigger question is if ACoC+ is equally a power boost as ACoC is naturally. In which case, I think it'd be a strong upscale for the holy knights just on principle of you needing so much more to actually overcome them than is normal.
But it doesn't preclude just naturally really strong motherfuckers from doing ANYTHING
