These are gonna be a LONG few months with all the speculation about Zoro/Sanji and what they will be up to. Especially for Sanji fans who believe he’s gonna get the conquerors reveal.

I actually have had a headcanon for decades that Zeff went to Elbaf. We know he went to the New World. He has a Norse/Celtic Braid or w/e for facial hair. His Red Leg name is like a Norse type name, Erik the Red or w/e, but Shanks is Erik the Red ofc. Zeff looks deadass like a viking that became a chef and his apparent strength and brutality would make more sense then. Plus vikings, pirates, not much difference ofc lol.

I'm so mad Oda didn't show Zeff in person at WCI, either forced to be taken there as hostage or show the BM pirates at Baratie preparing to kill him as needed. Big Mom's threats just felt empty to me in that regard due to that.

I think it really escalated when Bleach and Naruto ended and also when DBS went on hiatus or something? But ever since Marineford happened or even Enies Lobby with all the 1v1 matchups, the absolute powerup fiesta and major reveals like monster chopper, diable jambe, asura, the 2 new gears and then Admirals showing haki and use of it to this day we've only seen from Rayleigh and Luffy too I think, its all just been a mess.

Dressrosa had the whole coliseum thing and then we had Law going absolute baller, ham and sicko mode on punk hazard which didnt help too.

But yeah its really ironic how extreme a powerscaling scene OP has. It makes no sense and yet it is a thing, even though it shouldnt be.

I did hear that OP got more popular because of everyone getting stuck inside on account of the coof and such. But yeah what you said is correct too.

I guess it also helps that OP does have a lot of characters with interesting and colourful playstyles.

Plus even at his worst Oda is at least still massively better at powerscaling than most comic book writers lol. He's inconsistent w.r.t feats but he at least tries to maintain some structure.

Compared to dudes like Jason Aaron or Donny Cates Oda is very invested in consistent power levels lol.

What do we think about the fact Zoro wasn't "nerfed" against Gucci and Sanji insult gave him the rage boost needed to use the right haki to win? Fight is undeniably a high diff in retrospective. Some threads will need to be bumped

For me Naruto fans are worse, because they have to pretend that it was a perfect series without a single flaw. Since Naruto was "Ninja Harry Potter" and they aren't allowed to like Harry Potter anymore, they have become super defensive of Naruto.
