If their age got reversed including what happened to him this chapter, it will worser beatdown.
Oda is very careful , he choose rookie cabin boy Kaido to be hypetool for the strongest pirates at their prime.....knowing Prime Kaido would be off the menu.

I will say however, there is legitimately a decent chance “haki wizardry” is real and Roger(and probably Shanks) do have some power beyond mere swordsmanship.

I only say this because both Whitebeard and now Xebec seem to have had legendary busted DFs on top of their already top tier advanced haki and combat skills.

If Roger was even comparable to WB, then he must have had something to rival the gura. And coating his blade in haki wasn’t it, because WB could do that too.

It is very odd how a storm supposedly destroyed Shiki’s crew while saving Roger.

That said. This is all speculation and from everything we have seen thus far, Mihawk has better swordsmanship than Shanks and probably Roger too.

@EmperorKinyagi Oda should honestly just retcon Tsuru into being a former Admiral who willingly demoted to Vice Admiral when she got old. So that way the Admirals during Roger’s era would be Sengoku, Tsuru, and either Zephyr if Oda decides to canonize him, or just have the 3rd slot be vacant because Kong wanted to save it for Garp (and let’s assume there just can’t be 4 Admirals at a time for some reason)

All of them are going to be surprises which is pretty hype

Jack's bounty truly was the start of the retarded bounty inflation, before it something like half a billion was genuinely impressive.
Most YC should have been between 550-900s with only the strongest ones crossing 1B.
I guess Oda wanted to emphasize the gap between vet level and YC level characters
