Not a hint of build up for an incoming Kizaru death, if he even shows up at all, though, this arc can't end unless Kaidou is truly dead.

And if they send Ryokugyu instead of Kizaru then it's a done deal since he won't die in his first official arc.

he's dealing with the fact that two yonkos might actually be at death's door
so he's trying to deflect

old man yama's bankai is still one of the most hyped and best moments from the Thousand Year Blood War arc.

Author everytime he needed to beat Yama-ji needed to nerf him:
1- Against Aizen, Wonderweiss whole existence was just to absorb the flames and negate his Zanbaktu's powers
2- Against Juha, another person was created and his whole existence was to mimic Juha, in order for later Yama's power get stolen

I actually really like the Aizen/wonderwiess scenario because it is something Aizen would plan ahead for and do.

Aizen was easily the best part of the series and it's a testament that even after all these years he is still iconic as ever.
