Lopetegui really outcoached OGS in this game, lol.
I dont like him , he can be lame with his decision at times. Especially with backstabbing spanish team during world cup.

He is personally responsoble of spanish mess during wc, people here curse him .

english teams taking a shitter this year
Kind of spanish and french are more academic driven football teams. (Except psg its oil money team) .

Youth , coach , staff selection on every level of club managment are decided by board member.

We dont allow some rich guy *cough chelsea * *cough man city* *cough Arsenal * decide the fate.

Real madrid is prime example , even perez will be kicked out if he fails in his duties.

I actually disagree. I get it that the Spanish team tanked in the WC because he left early but the board could have just not fired him until after the world cup rather than 2 days before it started just because he took the RM job so I think I have to blame Spain directors more for that. At least, that's from what I know.

Tactically, I don't know much about him and obviously he failed with RM but this year he's overachieving with Sevilla and they might win the EL yet again. They're the Real Madrid of the Europa League, lol.

No , he did not inform spanish authotities that was biggest problem . He dishonored the exisiting agreement when he signed for RM. I kind of blame perez as well for destabilizing spanish wc chance it was sourgrape moment because it was once in a 4 years . We had to get back up as Hierro , but he had less experience and time to understand lopetegui 's formation.

Real madrid job is like a dream for every manager he could have joined after wc as well.

I agree he is doing well with sevilla hopefully he gains the respect back after what he did.

Tactically , he is fine . He is known to control player's ego in back room and a good football coach ..

He probably could’ve handled it better but for me it was still their choice to fire him. They apparently spoke to the players and they even said that they wanted him to stay but they still sacked him regardless because of saltiness. Obviously, its tough to say if your country would’ve done better had Lopetegui stayed but yeah it did hurt that he left the team even before the WC started.

But hey, at least he’s built himself up back again. He’s the new Unai Emery for Sevilla, lol.

I know for certain RM managment and RFE fed are not friendly in anyways that played the part julen lost his job.

Nobody for sure can say that but players can reveal this, i think losing a manager with political infighting may have had mental impact on player.
