I have to say, I was completely wrong about Xebec being a fraud. This guy really is THE pirate, he is the real pirate king unlike rival man, his accomplishments are tiers beyond what any other pirate in this manga has ever achieved.
Let’s completely forget that Rocks killed an Admiral and just look at the things we’ve actually seen him do.
While Rocks’s subordinate Whitebeard ran away from fodder Marines:
Rocks just sinks every ship that comes after him:
He showed us by far the biggest CoC clash of all time with Harald while he was wounded:
Unlike rival man who’s CoC could only span a minuscule island with Whitebeard,
He fucking laid eyes on Imu
He destroyed the damn Gates of Justice:
I mean this dude is just completely insane. I literally can’t fathom anyone who even thinks rival man even deserves to be compared to Rocks at all when rival man had to team up with rival #3 (Garp) to defeat Rocks, and Rocks was very likely betrayed at God Valley anyway since his crew are constantly battling themselves.
Sure rival man became the chicken king, but let’s look at rival man’s career:
1. Could never defeat Rocks’s first mate in combat
2. Was literally saved from being annihilated by Rocks’s #3 by a miraculous storm
3. Chickened out against Rocks’s subordinate Big Job who was killed by Kid and Law
Another point to make is that Rocks literally has zero rivals. No characters have ever been said to be his equals, he is literally a peerless pirate who subordinated 3 out of rival man’s 7 rivals (Whitebeard, Shiki, Silver Axe). Oda never gave Rocks a rival that was killed by rookie Ace, he was just inarguably the strongest Pirate of his era and a threat that threatened the existence of the World Government itself.
Gold Dodger doesn’t even have any accomplishments on par with just a single feat from Rocks, Rocks really is the goddamn man and I can’t deny it anymore. He is the strongest criminal in the history of this manga and no other pirates can even sniff his rocks if you catch my drift
