He doesn't want to create moves and whatnot to use them one time, or even use much space.

In One PiZzzz we have to wait 20 years to discover what a character can do

I doubt we’re actually getting God Valley now. Oda is just setting it up.

This is ultimately a Harald flashback and he seemingly has no connection to GV.

GV should be explored in the Garp, Teach, and Dragon flashbacks.

As well as Dragon, baby Shanks and baby Shamrock along with their mom, kid Blackbeard and his mom, kid Kuma and kid Iva.

I hope that's it, we don't need to have everyone be at God Valley.

If we want to see in-depth fights of the past, the only hope is a novel and then a manga like Ace's case.

GV will be MF #2, random skirmishes and maybe a full fledged battle.

At first we thought it was a battle between Rocks, Garp, Roger and a few others.
Then Loda added Saturn, Garling, the future RA, Dragon and god knows who else will show up there.

So now we know that Wang Zhi really was the traitor and that Don Marlon was killed before the God Valley incident.
Since Wang Zhi would never show his face on God Valley after that, and since Harald wasn't there, we know the list of Rocks Pirates that showed up:

• Rocks D. Xebec (or rather Davy D. Xebec)
• Edward Newgate
• Shiki "the Golden Lion"
• "Silver Axe" Kyo
• "Captain" John
• Buckingham Stussy
• Charlotte Linlin
• Kaido
• Gloriosa
• Genzui
• Barbell

I doubt that God Valley will actually be a list of pure 1v1s but rather something more similar to Marineford with big clashes here and there and no real winners for the most part... except for Roger & Garp vs Xebec (2v1) which was already said in the story (unless it's another case of anecdotes that are told to us by hearsay, and which in reality happened in a different way).
That aside some clashes I'm pretty confident really happened are:

• Silvers Rayleigh & Scopper Gaban vs Shiki "the Golden Lion" & "Silver Axe" Kyo. The rivalries between the two duos, the similar names & epithets and even the weapons wielded (sword vs swords and axes vs axe) are straight giveaways imo.
• Edward Newgate vs Figarland Garling is a common theory at this point, and to me it makes sense since the biggest players on the Pirates/Navy sides (Roger, Garp, Rayleigh, Gaban) are already taken. Sorry but I'm not counting Bogard. This leaves the strongest Holy Knight, Garling, who plays in the same ballpark of those characters... this fight could also give that dialogue between Newgate and Shanks another meaning...
• Linlin & Kaido vs Saturn could be a possibility, since we saw in Kuma's flashback that Kuma ran into Saturn while escaping from Linlin, but it doesn't make sense to me: Kaido's top 5 didn't portray Saturn and I'm pretty sure he'd remember an immortal being like an Elder as one of the strongest so he probably didn't run into Saturn. Linlin might have tho. When arriving in God Valley, Kaido seemed eager to fight Roger: I think he did and got beaten down quickly, earning a position in Kaido's personal top 5 that way.
• "Captain" John, Genzui, Stussy and Barbell could have clashed with other Roger Pirates, Bogard and the other Holy Knights. Everybody fighting everybody in a battle-royale fashion. The only clash I'm sure happened is Sunbell vs Barbell (kinda like Rayleigh & Gaban vs Shiki & Kyo, they fit each other to much).
• Gloriosa's role is difficult to predict, but I suspect she's the one that saved Shakky in the end (with Rayleigh playing a role too).

You are literally reading Roger simping over Shakky, Shakky simping over Rayleigh. Whatever Imu's deal is with Lily.

Roger is ignoring Gloriosa and mocking she being in love with her. Then Shakky does the same with Roger. Rayleigh the same with Shakky. No real love story here. Even Harald put aside his love story for his country.

Of course there are a VERY FEW love stores in One Piece. Like Kyros and Rebecca's mom.
