I keep forgetting we need to see Barbell vs Sunbell
I mean it's such an obvious parallel lol
LOL me too. Like, right there. The names make me think they might be brothers, even.
I wonder if Sunbell inspired by Sun Pirates somehow, as well? Sunbell and Barbell must both be legends in Fish-Man Island.
It would be fun if they were actually buddies, too, and had more of a friendly clash, like Roger and Newgate.
I believe pretty much everyone on this island who doesn't have strong Adv CoC will get Domi Reversi'd, and that even strong people like Harald and Rocks can be Domi Reversi'd if their Will is broken (look at Brogy and Dorry).
Domi Reversi Barbell vs Sunbell would be a really tragic fight, especially if Barbell died.
My Shiki theories have led me to believe Shiki gave Moria corpses from God Valley to kill Kaido; I think Shiki is Yakuza from Wano, and his family was evil Yakuza serving the Kurozumi clan (Shiki might very well be an evil Kurozumi, considering his treacherous nature).
It's possible we'll see more God Valley corpses in the future, if Moria is working for Shiki, and regroups with him.
We might see Zombie Barbell someday. Would be crazy is Sunbell fought Barbell on God Valley, then fights his Zombie decades later.
Moria still might have stolen the corpses himself.
Kaido is very honorable in some ways; God Valley clearly shook him up. I think Kaido retrieved the Rocks' Pirates corpses, and buried them in Ringo, and that's why they were so well preserved in Thriller Bark.
It doesn't really make any sense, that Moria found all these intact corpses on God Valley decades after the incident. Moria met Hogback 12 years ago; the timelines for these corpses make no sense, unless they were properly preserved. God Valley was 38 years ago, and Moria only met the guy who let him make so many surgically-produced Zombies, Hogback, 12 years ago. Barring more Oda retcons, someone in the story had to preserve the corpses from God Valley. The question would be, then who preserved them before Kaido? Newgate?
To Kaido, the Rocks Pirates were the first real family he ever had. We haven't really seen him fight with them/hate them; Kaido loves Rocks/the Rocks Pirates.
So, Kaido buried them in Ringo, and, years later, Shiki recruits Moria, who has already grave-robbed in Wano 23 years ago after losing to Kaido, and tells Moria where Kaido buried the Rocks Pirates. Shiki can float, and Absalom could turn invisible (rest in peace invisible pervert freak man). They can enter the country easily.
Kyo also interests me, here. If Kyo is from Wano, and an honorable fighter, Kyo burying the Rocks Pirates in Ringo fits well. Kyo didn't get his Title Silver Axe until post God Valley, so we know he lived.
Kyo and Shiki hate each other, so Shiki graverobbing Kyo's dead Nakama fits well, too. It could be Shiki, but, ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
In this case, Kaido would have respected the graves and kept them up, until Moria/Shiki graverobbed.
I hope Tekking does a deep dive into the God Valley corpses, soon.
Maybe that's why Kaido visited Wano to begin with: to see the graves of the Rocks Pirates in Ringo, built by Kyo.
