But there’s elements of him seemingly genuinely scum hunting like when he thought I slipped with the lurking in chat part which is hard for me to reconcile coming from newbie Mafia. Usually his agenda would show fairly transparently if he was scum.

That is the absolute most flexible I can be. It's just not great.

And he can't have learned anything or gotten any better since then to put in a better showing? I'm just trying to understand this "God read" because he fits quite nicely with the scum team that my reads are shaping so if he is town I need to be able to see it. Telling me to go re-evaluate my town reads doesn't help me and is lazy because I have no place to start from.
