I mean seriously people never consider the fact whether or not ki based attacks can even harm shinigami or other spiritual beings in general. Most if not all of the z-fighter can't tank attacks that are soul based. Unless Goku is dead in the other world where he then has a spiritual body he stands no change of even harming spiritual beings in the first place. Now this doesn't they can't touch them rukia are examples this somewhere in the beginning of bleach.

Yes it is the fan translation but it also accurate here otherwise hollows wouldn't be able to kill living being as well. Now can they phase through objects as well yes we seen it being done by rukia and acid wire.
so when someone said Goku can solo the Bleach verse either from reddit or any other forum it's like how can he physical damage them? Most of the characters Ichigo interact with aren't from a mortal plane of existence. Goku and the enemies he mainly faces are mortal beings at the end of the day.

when debating characters from other series, you usually have to make the assumption that the characters will be able to harm eachother, to the extent that it's normal in the universe. For example, we couldn't say that Akainu beats superman because he is a logia and superman doesn't have Haki.

but superman does have ways of defeating akainu especially with the abilities that he has. Freeze breath for example can cool of the magma akainu create.

But anyway this isn't a superman vs akainu discussion but I see where you are getting at though this doesn't apply here shinigami can attack or kill akainu by attacking the soul directly.
