It was very sad :(
I know you aren’t arguing specifically about mafia, but Yoho stole Reloaded’s prof “ability” claim as his own.
And the lie detector I was using was actually Ekko’s not mine lol. And it was a 1 shot.
The second lie detect was a one time fake writeup that we used to make the lie detect even more believable and used it on Reloaded to fake clear him.
In all fairness almost our entire team was a falling stack of dominos just waiting to crumble after nearly a single flip, but that never happened and town overall choked any semblance of threadplay/reads.
Ekko definitely shouldn’t have been ranting during the game and given the circumstances didn’t have a right to complain about anything as I pointed out earlier.
But in terms of roles it was very much balanced this game. Town fumbled tf out of all their kill power and strong role usage annd had just as many if not more “self clearing” roles I,E literal masons, a reviver, a cult cop, vig, etc and meanwhile we just used the few one or two roles we did have on our side to our full advantage to help the rest of us members who didn’t have those types of claims.

Used your roles well sure...still a joke. Lie detector basically cleared you, fake lie detect cleared reloaded, ekko surviving a kill only meant to kill non town, cleared him, and reloaded was mafia so the prof role was still mafia seminclearing whoever claimed it. Look I'm not complaining on the game...just pointing out the entire babying of scum you all do in games compared to what I'm used to. You all design games to clear scum mechanically or semi mechanically. Thats makes it so so so so so so easy as scum compared to what I'm used to playing...then you get people going loco on the host about setups which is even more hilarious lmao
I think the potential for mechanical misdirection stuff that provides fake clears has come as a response due to the opposite.

Which I understand, but if you think about the game of mafia, the informed inherently has a giant and already big advantage. Town having cleared or IC type roles is the challenge for mafia to blend into a town that as it is shrinking and they have kills and moves usually to help in dealing with those roles in which they can coordinate. There in lies a balance, if you add mechanical clears to the informed side, it really swings toward the mafia since clears are treated as clears. A cop is town, a lie detect is town, those are roles specially for town to catch the informed side. You take those tools away from the uninformed that will eat itself naturally there is just so huge of a disadvantage.
There’s a middle ground. There was a time were it was just too many clears. Like cop, vig, masons, IC etc all in the same game lol.
If it’s a 25 person game and 6 towns are cleared that’s just lame to play as for mafia.
If you pulled back on the level of fake clears and misdirection you also need to limit how many self clearing town roles are in the game so that it’s a very small amount. But because it’s usually high rolemadness & super role madness here, it’s hard to do that to the town because there are only so many roles so when making a bunch of unique roles you’re tempted to throw in all those IC like roles at once instead of making lots of repeating roles

Town got smacked because Town played worse. I'm not blaming anyone. I'm calling take that "half if Town got themself self cleared through mech" ridiculous. There were 2 cleared people who were Town. Even with gianfi, he could be scum who revived polar into cult.

There’s definitely no you all lol but I understand and respect where you’re coming from and tend to agree on most points especially about complaints towards the host and setups that in general can cater to mafia being absolutely unacceptable . However, with the setup numbers in mind I feel this particular game was well balanced and nobody should be complaining period.
As far as specifically claiming Prof, that should never have been clearing for anyone in any world, whether someone took it that way or not it is what it is.
And in Jag’s role sheet it specifically says if he targets someone who would be considered town or something along those lines with desperado would cause him to die, not mafia’s fault that Jag either didn’t read or clarify what that meant and stop to consider the possibility of Ekko being GF when there was already suggested evidence like cult immunity implying so lol.
