1. The legend of the sword says that it can destroy entire countries even against the user's will. If anyone too weak were to wield it, they could die on the spot, or have their minds taken over and begin to attack everyone on sight
2. Before Law, only a single swordsman from the Wano Country 200 years ago was able to tame it (because of the strong curse)
3. Kikoku's curse manifests in the "Oni Wail", in which it absorbs the life force in its wielder whenever they try to strike it
4. The only way to master Kikoku is by using Haki, to either overpower the sword's will or to gain the sword's cooperation -> Since Law couldn't yet use Haki, he tried to tame it through strong emotions. But after he unsheathe it, it rejected him -> On the second attempt, he finally succeeded in taming it because he understood Kikoku's will and didn't treat it like some wild animal Kikoku finally accepted Law

@Bold stands out to me. Law didn't tame it by overpowering it with Haki, but by understanding its will. Meaning Oden didn't need to have raw haki mastery at a young age to wield Enma if he also was able to tame it by understanding its will.

Where as Zoro is consistently shown trying to overpower Enma via haki control, rather than forming an understanding with Enma.

This.
You can go with the will and the sword, and do whatever the fuck it wants to do.
Or you can try to overpower it, at which point it might absorb all your haki and either force you to drop it, or straight up kill you.

Yea I think Oden and Law went with the cooperation route, and Zoro is going with the overpowering route. But then one has to wonder how much influence the sword's will has on the user. Though don't see Oda exploring this until Venus vs Zoro. Venus vs Zoro should be like the ultimate sword history lesson lmao. Literally a man who has seen centuries of various swordsmen and various types of swords.

R.i.p the young Oden's haki > Zoro's.

We talked about swords a lot imo, this is something we always explained, but some deniers wanted to push their Enma Agenda,
Instead, I wanna point out how this actually resembles DFs & Sea,

Sword feed on Haki, it can take it Forcefully which it will then use to destroy, or Kill/Weaken you,
However, you can prevent that, either by getting along with it, or by overpowering it's Will,
Now let's match this with Sea/DFs,

Sea cursing DF Users actually means that DFs belong at Sea, it wants their Powers & tries to take it Forcefully,
We are seeing the Absorbtion Process (DF Users feeling Week when submerged in Water), but We aren't seeing what the Sea is doing with those Powers (Maybe it's using them somewhere, maybe it's re-shaping the World thanks to them, but People have no way of noticing that, because the Sea covers the entire World, so it could be anywhere),

Since the Sea is available for everyone, it means all DF Users are Candidates to "Tame" it,
And you have Two Options:

1. Understand it's Will, Cooperate with it & develop an Emotional Connection with it ---> You Fulfill Sea's Will & Purpose
2. Overpower it's Will & make it Obey you ---> The Sea fulfills your Will & Purpose

It's the equivalent of a Sword Wielder making their Haki cooperate with Sword's Will or their Haki straight up Overpower it,
In other words, this means that there are Two DFs that can fulfill these Two Conditions, which matches with Xebec's Words about Two DFs,

There is One DF that contains Will of Sea, and Second DF that contains Will capable of Overpowering The Sea.
Since Elbaph's DF was always Hidden & Protected & Not Eaten, that makes it Pro-Sea DF, and it's preserved so that when Second Anti-Sea DF appears, Elbaph King will have to eat it, to counter that other User (Battle of Two Storms both Literally & Figuratively),

We can't be sure yet who are gonna be these Two DF Users, but so far the Top Candidates are Loki vs Man With Burn Scar.

Oda's design manuscript years back, where he drew designs of mihawk and shanks etc and added commentary to them

He said this about Yoru "The jet-black longsword that no one but Mihawk can wield" So yoru wont even accept shanks joyboy level haki that's crazy
