Yeah, but Oda decided to open the possibility of everyone knowing before this anyway, since Rocks just walked into Imu's castle and clearly knew what was going on there(with no resistance, for whatever reason). So we would either just have to assume he told no one for some reason, and we also have to make assumptions about why he even thought to go to Mariejois. Oda is just making the story dumber to hype up pg 13 Blackbeard, while the actual Blackbeard who matters has to get stopped by like, a retired old man like Rayleigh.
