Ignoring feats they were the last big secret WG group that could've been secretly above Admirals all this time, but Oda didn't give them a single statement or showing directly showcasing them superior to Admirals. That's where they lost. Oda had no intention on going back on established WG rankings.

If you want to compare showings. Oda had those clowns go all out flexing CoC and shit while he gave Kizaru a million excuses and still didn't have any Elder outperform him.

You need CoC to even fight an immortal. The gorosei themselves have CoC and monsterous haki, meaning it probably takes an even higher haki burden to defeat them.

How many admirals can you argue have significantly stronger haki than Gaban?
