There’s a high chance that once AI gets advanced enough, Shonen jump will create AIs trained on the most popular manga of old to reboot them.
Like Toriyama is dead. But an AI could, in theory, imitate his art and writing style.
That said, it would take a highly advanced model and I doubt WSJ has the money to invest in something like that at this point.
But this is probably the future of manga tbh. Being a mangaka is an insanely taxing job. Automating any part of the process would be extremely useful.
