Elbaph's army is known, Chiffon stated their the fighting force of the most powerful nation in the world.
I wouldn't be surprised if Shanks has been working to keep the Giant Army from popping off. The Giants in general probably love Shanks for stopping Loki's rampage.
Elbaph's Army dressed differently than the Giant Warriors, we can see this in multiple places in Harald's... Rock's... Loki's Flashback:
The Giants standing in front of Harald when he confronted Rocks pre-God Valley, and the Giants who stabbed Harald through, are all wearing a dedicated uniform.
This is Elbaph's Army, and we haven't seen FUCK ALL of them in the modern era, so, until Oda gives us more locations, I'm assuming Elbaph's Army is in Heaven World.

No that scene isnt cool. He almost killed himself for nothing. Got saved by the last time didnt even had a plan. That was the real dumbest thing on the series.
Rocks on the other hand destroyed marines attacked Marijeoa and stand against Imu. Made the greatest crew in the series and defeated top tiers.
If your logic of cool is getting saved by plot armor then Luffy must be the coolest character in the series by a huge margin.

The side characters are actually developed instead of giving all the screentime to some random background fodder that won't matter in the story.

You're missing my point. What both characters did was dumb, but Teach almost died doing so. He needed to make a new ally(Shiryu) to get out of the situation. Xebec got out of his dumb situation consequence free because Imu did nothing, and the Gorosei and HK also just weren't in the scene at all, which doesn't really make sense. That's worse plot armor then even Luffy probably has.
I mean yes King is really attractive but that's not enough for me to consider a character good

That's why people like Kaku are so beloved, he wasn't like Daz Bones or King he had a big personality and fun abilities while still being strong. I like him a lot for that reason.
