I've seen people praise KND so much, theory videos cropping up and such, I don't remember the series anymore but I did used to watch it. I'm gonna have to look into it and see what the fuss is about, I've heard it gets darker and sadder than expected? I did like the characters in it too.
Yeah the post TS SHs barely feel like the SHs to me anymore. So exaggerated, so flanderised parodies of themselves and lacking the soul, the personality of who they used to be.
One Piece and Bill Burr have both given into greed and fallen off, lost their pride, their souls and such, its the classic getting too big for your own boots, selling out etc.
I remember seeing the Ed Edd and Eddy movie and how mature and ballsy that movie was, how it was so relatable to real life and covered a sort of taboo subject of abusive family members and thus abuse of boys too and male self esteem and such. Having all the people the Eds scammed turn around and get revenge on Eddy's brother after seeing and finding out what he's been doing, all the lifelong abuse of him to the point Eddy was traumatised by it and deeply terrified of and constantly trying to appease him for his own safety, was so surprising and heartwarming, a really emotional moment. I respect the writers so much for doing that and not doing the original planned ending which was WAY worser and more bleaker by far. It was gonna make his brother be a figment of his own imagination instead, thank god they didn't go with that.
