Well I think a way to explain it better is they relate to his trauma and the fact that his trauma is a direct link to him being so perverted and desperate.
Again Denji isn't really a simp just for the sake of being one and he has clear boundaries and can also develop relationships with women beyond wanting to fuck them (i.e seeing Power as his sister), it's just that he's had such a bad life he doesn't even know how to have a normal relationship with people in general.
