I’m also considering that he looks so old in the present, like 70 at minimum. WB should be 74 at the present age, so that’s a 4-year gap at best.
I agree though, I already said that Garling’s minimum age is 30, Roger’s age at max imo. Even if we lowball it, that’s still a slanderable age for getting no-diffed though.

Garling was not his prime. He's in his thirties and reached his primes 4 or 5 years later.
He got so much stronger in these years that he would go from neg diffed in a 1v1 vs Rocks to a solid low diff.
You guys need to stop looking for excuses lol, Garling should either be in his prime or close to it, he's just not the type of guy who can fight Xebec.

unnamed characters =/= fodders.
We're told there were other pirate crews who had come there to God Valley, a lot of the people here are in the Vet - YC range, even if they're just "unnamed" to us. For example Newgate had 50 power allied captains who were ranging from Vet tier to YCs...But we don't know all 50.
With Koby we know specifically he was fighting against character pre-TS luffy would've merked. And Silver Axe is a great example of what I mean Oda introduces him with comparison to Shiki, and thus transitive comparisons to Newgate and such as well. On the other hand, in multiple arcs no comparative statements with strong characters exist for Koby.
