On the cover page, the Yamato cover story is...finally over!!! We're free! I don't know why, but this has felt like a VERY long cover story. Yamato is enjoying a nice kebab. And Ulti is giving Kinemon the eyes for some reason. Not sure what that's about. Are they going to be...dating? That'd be kind of weird, but whatever, I guess.
I just have to ask...what was the point of all this? Looking back, the Yamato cover story feels SO meandering and pointless. We learned a few interesting things, sure. We got to follow up with Ulti and Page One, and we learned a bit more about Moria. But, this has been going since March of 2024. We basically got a year and a half of this cover story. And I just don't feel like it earned it. Hopefully, we can finally leave Wano behind for a good while, now. Give us some time to miss the place before we have to see it again. Honestly? I think I'm okay with not seeing Wano again until the walls come down at the very end of the story. I am so tired of Wano, personally, even though Oda clearly loves the place.
We're just skipping over Rocks versus Garling, I guess. I mean, I understand that Oda probably wants to hide both of their powers for now. But...MAN, that would have been cool to see.
Rayleigh carrying Shakky through the battlefield is a pretty cool image, though. That's couple goals, right there. Shakky looks so content. It's cute.
I do wonder about the Marine that "vanished" after hearing about the Celestial Dragon's Hunts. That could be alluding to a few people. Zephyr comes to mind. As does the Man Marked By Flames. Not sure how important this will end up becoming later, but it's worth keeping in mind.
Also, Garp and Sengoku didn't actually know about these Hunts. Which means they aren't common knowledge, even to relatively high ranking Marines. Which is interesting. And it...kind of absolves Garp of the crimes some fans accuse him of. We're seeing the origin of why he hates Celestial Dragon's, I guess.
Oh...the citizens of God Valley are getting Reversi'd into demons. Which means, Imu IS on the island! Well, that's interesting. I was wondering, since Gunko was here. I kind of assumed Imu wouldn't be here, because it would make the "present day" story more exciting, but I guess it makes sense. Interesting that the "commoners" get the demon forms, but the Knights of God don't.
And are the Knights of God riding the supersonic ducks from Alabasta? Are those things just common steeds in this world?
Eris seems like a pretty cool lady! Even though, her hair is pretty weird! And she used to be a pirate. That would have been a interesting backstory to see, shame we skipped over it. I still have to wonder what went wrong with Blackbeard's genetics, since both of his parents are more put together than he is. I guess he really did just end up in his own "worst timeline". Also, when Eris mentions the Davy Clan, Oda specifically draws the really big guy wearing the straw hat. So, Oda's definitely setting something up with that. The Davy Clan has some sort of connection to the straw hat.
And Eris wants to meet Rocks on Lulusia. So, Lulusia is possibly Eris's hometown? Or somehow connected to God Valley in some other way. That's a interesting coincidence, since that's ANOTHER island that got destroyed.
Oh, Big Mom wanted to give Katakuri the Dragon Fruit. That...would have been a interesting timeline. We need fanart of THAT now!
Also, this is easy to overlook, this chapter confirms there are two different Prize Storerooms on this island. Which means, my little theory about there being 16 total prizes may just be correct!

Garp keeps mentioning "dreams". So, I wonder if that's setting something else up? Something the Monkey family knows about the power of "dreams", perhaps? Some sort of prophecy or something?
Ooh, and Saturn's worried about "something else" getting unleashed during all this chaos. That's a interesting tease, but I'm not sure what they're talking about.
Whitebeard makes a stand next to his captain. And Kaido joins them! That's actually kind of a cool moment.
And Imu IS on the island...by possessing Saturn instead of Gunko this time. So, Gunko isn't the only one who can "channel" Imu. Interesting. So, next time should be even more action.
Also "The WORLD" gets a mention again, so...hmm...not sure what that means, but it's interesting. Somehow this is all connected to Blackbeard's ultimate goal. I'm not sure in what way, but it's a interesting thing to say.
Kind of a chaotic chapter. But, there is a lot going on. We didn't really focus on any one thing enough to give it a lot of impact, but we did get to cover a lot of ground. I guess I'm just glad that Oda's feeling a bit better. Even if we are getting another break next week, after already missing a week. Hopefully, Oda's recovering from whatever happened.
